Green Peace
Hiya I got a clunkin sound when I turn the steering full lock to the left and also occasionally when I brake hard at low speed. I thought it could be a one of the bush's' gone but had this before and it was slightly different. Any help advice much appreciated. Si
Supraguy
Hah! Just had the exact same thing recently. Turned out to be a lower arm on the passenger side. Leon spent a lot of time trying to figue this one out because the sound was so harsh, it traveled through the car fairly well. Good luck with yours. Steve Cargill
Si, try searching for "I don't creak anymore" and see if that helps.

Green Peace
I guess this is not deadly serious and can run it till my next garage appointment in a few weeks or will this be bad. Si Edit: I'm not sure what Suspension I have I know its been uprated before it was imported but just read the torque settings on Terminaters post (very helpful) so wondering if this would make any difference? Paul
I had this too, about 18mths back. Happened on full lock when in reverse. Had the front bolts torqued up as suggested on the qouted thread and it cured it. These are 'Serious' bolts but if the noise has just started then you should be OK for a few weeks IMHO. Ian C
Subframe bolts, get them tightened up. It really needs the car up on a lift to be able to do a couple of the beefy ones. And a kick-ass torque wrench! -Ian

Green Peace
Cheers Everyone. All sorted now. Went to Michedever Tyres near Winchester and they tightened the suspension and even straightened my steering wheel...Handling is 100 per cent back to normal. Worth the Journey, they really do know what they are doing, saw some nice motors there too. One other Supra who needed new front springs and an Red NSX. Cheers Guys.
Green Peace
O Dear the 'Clunking' sound is still there, Do ya think they know what they are doing, or should I try somwhere else?
Steve Cargill
Si, I did mine first myself but couldn't get to two of the bolts and it wasn't until they were tightened that the creaking properly stopped. I think they are the ones towards the rear and you need a longer reach socket to get into them. Also, they need to be effing tight, not just tight.
