Bit like walking into a Bank and demanding a cheque at gunpoint a bit pointless unless you have a fictitious account and even so itd never clear cause Plod would cancel it and that would be that , they be useless at most things but trust me they do take armed robbery seriously , if your nervous have someone wait in a nearby cafe with the cheque or money and when your happy your not gonna get mugged raped then shot give em a ring to meet you !!!;)

No they are account payee only , they have to go in a bank account that matches the name on the draft , the only thing to watch out for with BD's is that you dont get given a stolen one if your selling a car , allways check to make sure the bank issued it and if its after hours hold the car till you know for sure , i had this tried on me once , by the time i got back outside the guy was gone ;)
