SUPRALOOPY
Is this alot to worrie about? or can this wait until i've saved enough for some new turbos? Don't want to do too much damage if i can help it;) I dont lose any oil and i don't get smoke when on boost driving. SEE_HERE Also my boost is peaking at 1.08 kg/cm2 (can some one convert that for me ) Many thanks Dave:)
hadyn
That could be bad valve stem seals mate if that huge puff came out just after switching the engine on after leaving it over night. Turbo seals, usually puff out the smoke when on boost

kamikaze
This may help but may not... Your symptoms sound similar to clogged PCV valves hoses that i had on my 300ZX-If the Supra has a similar system it could be these I replaced mine resulting in no more sooty marks on the exhaust/increase in power at low revs/no smoke from exhausts Hope that helps
Swampy442
Your turbos would smoke when its at idle and warm, they dont tend to do it cold. Looks like the PCV to me too
SUPRALOOPY
how do you get the pcv out?? ive cleaned the tube (bastard to get back on) and sprayed carb cleaner down the valve, but how do you check it? can't find anything in cj's manuals. Swampy442
Its an NRV so I guess if its stuck then it wont relieve any pressure. If its freely moving about then I assume it works ok. You can get a new one if in any doubt though, cant be that much.

kamikaze
PCV valves ? Sorry bit dumb when it comes to these things ! Somebody tell me what these do and where situated please Depends if you mean on a 300ZX or a MKIV lol On the 300ZX you have one on each side under the plenum towards the rear of the engine... There are also a total of 5 hoses in the system that need to be replaced as well as they have small 'brushes' inside em to clean and filter. Ive got no idea on a MKIV as i havent got one yet!Well til Sunday anyway.
