Someone talk me out of going BPU!

SOMEONE talk me out of it. :D

"You're car is the pinnacle of engineering, quality, reliability, and style from Toyota. Hundreds of engineers spent man-decades bringing this carefully crafted and tuned masterpiece of mechanics to you. Why would you want to change anything? Do Ferrari and Morgan owners 'go BPU'? No - they restore, care for, and respect what they have, and what countless people have worked to bring to market. Have some pride, and just drive your dream. Save the 'sports zorst', strap on turbo, lexus rear lights, and body kit for the Corsas of the world."

How about that? ;)

Then again, I'm starting to think I need more power, too ...

There's not a lot more power to get out of those cars before they pop I wouldn't have thought.

Stop thinking and get on with it. You know you will anyway.

You don't need the boost controller though. (if jspec or running say a 1bar restricter ring)

They do a few upgrades for them , usually it's hi-flo cats and a tubi full exhaust sytem. I did a trackday with a guy who spent £80k on his 360 spyder once. You can also twin turbo charge them too.

Mark if you want to fit a boost controller (optional), then I'd get the restrictor ring to limit boost to around 1bar (in high gear), then use the boost controller to raise from there.

I'll send you some prices for boost gauges, FCD and boost controller. Do you also want prices for FMIC?

This is exactly what I do - Why? Because you soon get used to whatever power you have! I normally use 0.9/1 bar and when I fancy a play I turn it up to 1.2 bar. That way makes the car more fun!
