Dragonball
Unbelievable out there!! From Luton - south through the roadworks - took me 2.5 hrs to do 50 miles home BUT - that's nothing... Northbound - The queue from 10 miles north of Luton - followed it down no end in sight when I came off M25 at M4 turning!! M3 closed Stay at home!! gaz1
i get so pissed of when i go home from work over the bridge or tunnel at dartford, you know the one that, when the tolls collect the cost of consruction it will become free, my arse its paid for itself 4 times over now, and now there saying its to go towards keeping the other roads maintained

Branners
I dont go near the M1 now during rush hour. A1 for me or cross country to Aylesbury and up the M40. The M25 clockwise past South Mimms was stuff today as well. JB
rik
On a good note, if you live in Bedford and normally queue for ages through Great Barford from the A1, let it be known that the bypass will soon be open (August) I've been working on this bad boy since September, testing the stone used for the Sub-Base as it's coming from Holland via boat. Gonna be a nice stretch of road when it's open. Duel with no junctions for 7k's.

hogmaw
problem is that when good weather arrives everyone does the same thing - get the car out - this country's just too small for the amount of people here let's face it

Branners
I thought the roads were quiet today, I assumed everybody was at home watching the footie. Had the cruise on 75mph most of my trip from Newark to home. JB
hogmaw
75mph on the motorway is that all? I am physically unable to go that slow, I just can't do it, I think I have a psycological problem

terribleturner
Now Paul you see why i take the Bike. 40 minutes for me to do 46 miles I jumped on the M1 at J.14 and it was empty, couldn't belive my luck. But 2 junctions later my luck ran out as just after Toddington services the ques began all the way to the end of the roadworks
