heckler
A quick question... i know this has probably been mentioned before - but I could not find a definate answer... so... As I'm planning to fit a HKS FMIC soon, what happens to the header tank, does it get relocated (if so where) or is the tank replaced with a different/smaller one? TIA. Dragonball
We do these - fit next to the battery http://www.mpaconsultancy.co.uk/miamirice/images/headertank.jpg
Guest Terry S
It needs to be relocated. It's easier using a small one, like that from the later corrola's

Matt Harwood
The HKS installation instructions suggest the original header get's relocated to under the drivers headlight.

Where access is impossible and it's not even visually possible to check the water level. Not good, but there you go....
paul mac
Have a rummage round your local scrap yard, i found a nice small one that fits between the battery and the wing (next to the washwipe fill up) i think it came off a Rover, cheap as chips, its great fun you can smash stuff up and rip stuff to pieces and no one cares. heckler
I know what scrappies are like, I had a 1983 Vw polo and a 1983 MK Golf Gti - I was forever in the scra[ yard - my best find was a 1982 Mk1 GTi with koni/eibach susspension bought the car for £150 swaped the susspension with mine and sold it for £300 - there was nothing wrong with the car! si

Not good, but there you go.... Yeah, I have bought a small plastic one to sit in the engine bay so, I can at least check the level with a quick look. I got the HKS R-type FMIC and it does not come with one.
Guest Terry S
Like I said, get the little Corrolla one. There are a few places it fits under the engine bay.
