MONKEYmark
hi just wondering if they would be ok for supra for drag racing? they are 16" x 8" wide all round, seen a few people on supraforums using them. just wondering if they would fit over brakes ok. and if its worth giving them a try. they are supposed to be light weight wheels half the weight of stock supra tt wheels. would the weight saving make a difference? mazda rx7 alloys 1995/97 standared 5 spoke 16 inch with good 225/50/16 200 pound from supra forums MT ET Streets, had about 6 pass and roughly 500miles still a lot of tread left . mounted on RX7 wheels/ are in good condition (a little chipping of the polish) . The tire and wheels are about half the weight of the stockers. Great drag tire! $300.00 plus $30 bucks shipping thanks
eyefi
i wouldnt imagine that 16"ers would fit over uk/us front brakes, but i dont know, they may do for some bizzare reason
Adam W
I think they go on the rears, well they ought to with those tyres on! Seems a bit odd to go for a narrower wheel though. Same size as standard Mk3 wheels FWIW.

The stock TT 16 x 9 rears only weight 20.5 lbs (16 x 8 17.75lbs) so i'm not sure if this claim can be true? (maybe if counting all in ie + tyre etc it is) £50 will get you a full set of 8" & 9" 16's and then you could just fit new tyres of your choice? BTW From recently having the front wheels off my car and also picking up a set of the same wheels but with no tyres on, i'm suprised at the difference in weight, i'm sure alot of weight can be saved by choosing the right tyre. Guest spyder
Hi Why not try RX8 Wheels(pic attached). 18" and they go straight on! Same PCD and slightly different offset, but they clear the arches even with 235/40 on the front and 265/45 on the arse!
Bobbeh
Because he wants small/light wheels for drag racing so he can put a fatter tyre on.
Guest spyder
Sounds rather difficult racing in a dress?
