Kopite
So Chelsea sign him for £16mil tonight, £4mil goes to Lyn Oslo and £12mil to Man United for whom he never played. Is it just me or does the whole thing just seem wrong? Signs for Man U but then says he was forced into it and wanted to go to Chelsea. What does everyone else think about this deal? supra dan
seems wrong to me also. dont really understand it, cant really be about his wages can it? i mean i dont think he would be on much more playing for chelsea than united? he better be good for that money anyway
Robert
just why did they pay united 3 times more than united were going to pay for him? Then again chelsea paid 30 million for a 30yr old who wont score 20 goals next year.
ChrisSZ
I think there is far, far too much money in the game - this has lead to bungs, corruption etc. and is slowly but surely ruining the game People are buying players for obscene amounts these days. supra dan
as a chelsea fan for many years i love the way we can buy great players now, but im not sure its good for the game when money is no object. i cant imagine how it feels to be able to spend the money roman spends, it must be mad to get anything you want. not sure about shevchenko either, he was brilliant at milan dont know how he will fare here. steb9780
as The Chosen one said this week, I will spend what ever it takes to win the Champions Lge. Says it all...... That is not the answer though I will spends what it takes. It will get to the point of being like Real Madrid. They thought that the answer was to buy all the best players. But they ain't won anything for three seasons. And the proving point for that is that Rafa Benitez won the title twice and the league cup with Valencia, on a very tiny budget compared to Real and Barca. As a Liverpool fan I think Liverpool have good times ahead. Benitez is a master tactician as well as a very shrewd businessman. And we get to keep him for another four years now;)

The question from Ro, was not about other teams but chelsea
MARTIN R
Chelski have the biggest bank balance, paying two clubs for the player is small change to them, I think it is bad for the game imo
mkirby
Its a total disgrace and whats done about it???? nothing!!! an FA spokesman said "we dont see the chelsea money issue a problem yet"???? There making a farce of the game and all its going to do is make the likes of liverpool, man u and arsenal just play for second and not bother to buy players because if they do try to make any big signings chelsea just double the offer!?!? With regards to this signing, chelsea should be banned for what they have done, this lad had signed for Man U after they had left him to prosper with another club and the £4m was the fee for him but then Chelsea got wind of him being pretty good so what do they do, even though he had signed for Man U AND was very happy, they offer him a sh1t load of money and Lyon £16m for him and OH what a suprise he then says Man U bullied him into signing??? WTF he has a pre contract i believe for the last 3 years with Man U!!! Disgrace and every chelsea fan should be very worried because when the bubble bursts its going to uncover the biggest scandal in any sport!! trust me it will happen mark my words Mike

paul mac
as a man city season ticket holder i hate to say it but Chelsea are rapidly taking Uniteds crown of most hated team in the country, they bought Shaun Wright-Phillips from us just cos Arsenal wanted him, then stick one of the most talented English players in there reserves and leave him to rot and a £20million player cant even get in the England squad, Chelsea are doing absolutely nothing for the English game and if we're not carefull we will end up with a league as pathetic as the Scots

TOSH Are you actually reading whats being said??? i'm a life long Man U fan and i do believe at the moment that were playing for second place and everyone i know, liverpool fans, arsenal fans etc all say the same!! How is it going to be closer, chelsea have spent another 50+ million to "buy" more glory and before you say Man U do that, no they dont, Man U have spent alot of money but only on a par with the other teams like liverpool but like liverpool man u have always promoted young home grown talent, whats chelsea done?? sorry just spent money Just not good for the game IMHO Mike
supra dan
ok if thats how you feel, maybe now you know how the smaller teams (including chelsea untill recently) feel evey year, maybe a chance in the cup but thats it. you have been spoiled for too long. its the same here with rangers and celtic, if they loose 2 games in a row the manager gets his coat.nobody has a right to win the league, but if you want to complain because you think you will come second there are plenty of fans who might as well go to the pub on a saturday, cos theyve no chance, but they dont they support through good and bad.dont complain cos chelsea won it twice, like i didnt when united won it year in year out.as i pointed out before Ranieri spent £1oo million and won nothing, yes the money is a huge advantage but it still has to be used wisely. LMAO Used wisely??? higgs
i think that what what chelsea are doing in english football is wrong they buy players they dont even want just to stop other clubs haveing them. hold meetings with players who are contracted to other clubs and the f.a and fifa just turn a blind eye and let them get on with it. there needs to be a cap put on the amount of money a club is aloud to spend based on what that clubs profits are and considering chelsea lost 80odd million last year they shouldent be buying anyone at the moment. in my eyes chelsea have not won the league the last 2 years they bought it
