Guest Terry S
I found it was approx 200 difference pre/post turbo, so I would say Post turbo 700-750 to be safe.

Sharpie
I found it was approx 200 difference pre/post turbo. Yep, this is what I was getting before CW moved the sensor to the pre turbo position.

Pig
For your reference, I have reached 850 twice on my car now (since being single) the first time i had to pull over as i was smoking loads and the second time i started leaking loads of coolant! I would say terry is corect with the post turbo result!

I would say terry is corect with the post turbo result! So you have seen 850C and you are post turbo sensor location ? ..lets take the rule of thumb of 200C difference between pre and post, that would have put you at 1050C! I would say terry is corect with the post turbo result! I have a spare engine should you need it. My EGT sensor is mounted in the no 1 about 3/4 inch from the head. I usually get 750 on boost with the occasional 800. Warning set to 900. I did get a peak of 900 when I had my knackered stock SMIC, since fitting a Trust SMIC, things have cooled down nicely. JohnK
My EGTs dropped by approx 100c after I fitted the T61. My sensor is in the manifold by no1. With the single, its rare and only on the hottest days, pushing the car, that it goes above 850c.
