Chris Wilson
Your "least-messy" way sounds a right mess, if you'll forgive me for saying so In tank pumps pull from a well, to help curb fuel surge, are you sure you can get the inlet gauzes of two pumps in this well? Will the support pipe take kindly to having 2 pumps a hangin' off it?
Chris Wilson
Err. Hang on, what's this "one fuel line to each end of the rail? Where is the return coming off? I can't quite picture this set up, but I suspect I am misunderatnding something along the line. (Excuse pun.... )
Ian C
It's confusing this, it's almost in real time! I'm getting a HKS fuel rail and I believe they have an inlet at either end and a return in the centre. That clears up one confusion. Hopefully I'm not wrong about the two inlets. If you think it's a mess, say so (well, you did ), I don't mind. Having seen the pump cage and baffled well in the tank, I'm confident the inlet filters will both fit - the well is wide enough for two pumps and their pickups side by side. http://www.mkivsupra.net/resources/injectors/images/fueltank.jpg The cage has a quite beefy metal support for the pump, so a second one on there won't be a problem. I've seen pictures of twin-pump installs, side by side and one staggered above the other with an extension hose, that look neat and secure, so I think it's a clean-looking result. I haven't got piccies of the twin installs to hand unfortunately. http://www.mkivsupra.net/resources/injectors/images/fuelpump_cage.jpg So, that leaves trying to get a second output installed in the top of the pump cage and routing hose to the front of the car. By "least messy" I meant "least pain in the ass to me", not "most aesthetically pleasing from a looks and engineering standpoint" so that clears up the other confusion -Ian
