SUPRALOOPY
i'm changing the nose on my car and just wondered if i can leave the motor and take apart the spoiler? so i can fit the nose and still have the stiffer steering at speed and the car just thinks its putting the spoiler down and does the steering for me. Or do i have to remove the lot to fit the nose and later on a fmic? thanks dave (did a search found only ecu questions)

Or do i have to remove the lot to fit the nose and later on a fmic? i'm pretty sure the operation of the spoiler has nothing to do with the steering. The steering is i think variable assisted with the 'speed' the signal for which comes form the speedo signal (hence the problems with steering feel after some j-spec speedo conversions) you may leave the motor in etc, but only really if you were expecting to refit sometime soon, else its probably pointless to leave in.........
