Branners
Branners- I must have missed something- why were the rules changed???? I think the organisers must have had a few complaints that it was restricting entry and so had to relax the rules. JB

I'd certainly have gone to watch the original concept- I wouldn't have competeed though lol.
Guest Time Attack
thanks Glen, Im sure we all understand why the rules have changed, it was just such a refreshing opportunity for the little guys to finally have a go and not be embarrassed when they come in 20 seconds behind on a lap time compared to a full race bred car. Im waiting for some of the single turbo guys to put their hands up for this.. I will still try and find a suitable date to get the club down to an event en-masse as it sounds like a good event anyway, just not as we had initially hoped. JB Hi Branners, As we go on then the ability to put in place classes will become a lot easier. The standard turbo housing idea is part of the plans for 2007 and as we go on we will start pulling together lists of these people, but still guys can compete with their cars this year as what they will be doing is setting the standards for the future, showing this kind of competition works, whilst also competing with similar cars. Thanks for your ongoing support and understanding of what we are trying to achieve Glen
Guest Time Attack
Bit of interesting news, FDUK have a team entering and they are generally using cars with standard turbos/housings so if you guys think you have the legs on them then I suggest someone contacts them . I beleive the guy to contact is Robbie. Regards. glen
Guest Andy Barnes
Just confirmed! http://www.d1gb.co.uk/i/230406/Tiff.jpghttp://www.d1gb.co.uk/i/230406/5G%20logo.jpg Channel 5's '5th Gear ' is set to join the D1GB this Sunday at Rockingham with presenter and former F1 driver Tiff Needell taking to the wheel alongside the 36 current D1GB drivers. Driving a 590bhp Toyota Soarer, Tiff will enter the competition as a provisional Licence holder and will be aiming to finish in the Top 16 to gain his full D1GB Licence. This feature and the event is to be filmed by 5th Gear on the day and will be broadcast on Channel 5 in the summer. A regular to side-ways power sliding and a previous contributor to the UK Drift scene, Tiff will be taking notes and guidance from one of D1GB's top drivers, Julian Smith in order to get to grips with the most powerful car on the grid and to get first hand experience of what being a D1GB driver is all about. Can Tiff cut it alongside Europe's finest Drift drivers and will he succeed to gain his full licence? There is only one way to find out - get to Rockingham this weekend and see him and the rest of the boys in action. Guest Time Attack
Actually guys the standard turbo housing concept we want to include is far from dead so don't lose interest. We have a limited amount of time to run Time Attack and therefore had to cater to the majority of people that wanted to enter, which isn't favourtism by the way it's just that they entered first . So what I wanted to let you guys know is the standard turbo housing rule has not been dropped and what we need to do is put it together it in such a way that it works. So keep interested as we strongly believe in this class taking off once we let everyone know about it correctly. Shame though as this weekend I reckon even a standard turbo'd housing/well set up Supra would have done very well in the Club Challenge . Anyone know whats happened to Bijal Ratnani-Future by the way? Glen

Bobbeh
I went along today, only saw one Supra parked up and that was M6 BEGs, looked really nice btw Quite pricey to get in at £20 a ticket and drinks at £1.50!! but it was a well run event with lots of nice cars, the Evos turned out in force and there were plenty of Skylines too. Glad the weather stayed nice for it too. I posted a mini report about it here with plenty of pics: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=69860
