cookci
completely off topic but im sure someone will know... thinking of renting a house which cost £400 PCM (very small house)... but how much extra in bills/tax am i going to have to pay? unfortunately i still live with my parents
Clarkey
Assume £25 - £30 per month each on gas, electric & water. As far as council tax ... no idea for an exact figure. That depends on what area you live in & what band. Look on your county council's web-site. However, if your living on your own - you are eligible for a 25% discount. But if it's a v.small house ... then I'd say no more than £65 per month maximum. Also, don't forget contents insurance as well.
toyotasuprauk
You probably would be looking between £150-£200 a month depending on if you have a phone line, internet, sky tv etc.
Guest Supersonic
Yep, when I rented, i was paying rent at £400, and counil tax was £65 as you get single person discount, water £15, gas and lekky £50 maybe and you can get cable telly, phone and t'internet for £30 a month. So youre up to £550 a month basic. Add food at £25, insurances at £10 and TV licence at £10 so youre nearing £600. Not cheap...so get a woman in too....share the costs!
