Project 300 Nearly Done

A few people on here know ive got a 300zx for my sins well the project is nearly finished.

I bought it with alot of the mods already on it but when i took it to be mapped with its F-Con we could not get it to boost and after many frustrating moments and an expert eye cast over it by Rod Bell it was determined that where the turbos are and the fact that the turbos only had mashing on that they simply was not getting enough air flow to boost!!

So we embarked on a project to fit custom pipework onto the turbos along with filters and while we were at it do some other mods to the car which were:

Fit new fuel rail

850 cc inj

Tein Coilovers

EDFC

Relocate the Battery

Relocate the oil cooler

Fit new bigger rad

Remove the rear wheel steering

Fit longer studs as the front wheels were spaced out over the brakes

And lots of other stuff which kept getting added ;)

When we had nearly got it back together i had already decided to change my engine management due to the fact that no one near me mapped it and i wanted a to go a different route so originally i opted for the apexi power fc which i was going to adapt but while this looked initially a good value route once i started to do it it became aparent that it was false economy so i ended up buying a nice AEM.

When we finished it a few weeks ago even though it was not mapped, well only for 555cc inj i took her out to see if it had worked as we could only get 0.6 bar of boost before so quick blip of the throttle and hey presto 1.3 bar!!! whoops ;) so it worked :) anyway booked her in for mapping which is next tuesday but with one problem!! no ECU had turned up!? so been chasing this bloody ecu round the country as i need it for tuesday and out of the blue it turned up today :)

So "should" be complete after tuesday, well until my next mod anyway so i hope it compares to my supra power wise and hope to run it in the RWD class at TOTB :D

Theres pictures on my site of some of the stuff i did

Just thought i would share this as i'm well chuffed, well now the ecu has turned up i am lol
