toyotatom
:D Finally after a collossal mountain of dissapointment, worry, and stress...Me and the girlfriend are moving into our new house. We have just exchanged contracts, and get the keys on friday!! I cant say I personally know everyone on here, so im sure this wont interest some people, but im so happy I had to tell the (supra) world :D
Ark
It's a huge relief isn't it. My advise - don't break out the bubbly until you've got the keys in your hand. Things can (and do) go wrong even at this stage. Thankfully it's uncommon, and generally down too the banks tranferring funds. Good luck with your move! tbourner
How long did it take if you don't mind me asking? From your offer? We've just had a survey done on ours, and there's 3 people in the chain above (top one waiting for their offer to be accepted still).

toyotatom
No chain at either end for our sale, should have been easy. Offer accepted mid december and only completed today. Both solicitors require miserable things to be done to them in my opinion, for many reasons. Cheers Charlotte!

Charlotte
Didn't think you could do that once contracts were exchanged... Yep, just forfeit their deposit - which is why a deposit is normally insisted upon on exchange.
