wkdtime
Happens when engine is turned off, rattling noise coming from engine. Does not occur when engine is started, driving or on idle, Also when driving in gear at high RPM and then backing off throttle get a loudish banging noise like two metals colliding, but when in low rpms t does not happen. Any suggestions?? cheers
Homer
Happens when car is turned off, rattling noise coming from engine. Does not occur when driving or on idle, Could well be the normal behaviour of the charcoal canister. Is it coming from inside the engine bay on the passenger side near the windscreen? wkdtime
Homer are you referring to the first problem? TBH i cant really say, all i can say is that when the engine is switched off i hear a rattling noise, seems to be coming from then engine, does not do it on startup or drive or idle, and as for the second problem it happens when i back off the throttle in same gear i.e when the wheels are driving then engine but only when at high RPMS. Homer
Yes, I was referring to the first problem mate, hence the quote The second problem could be almost anything to be honest. If you're unsure try getting it to somewhere like Pheonix for diagnosis.

Scooter
Does it rattle if you turn it off with the clutch depressed? The clunk could possibly be that the rubbers on the prop shaft are slightly worn.
