ok let me re phrase it, as i was talking about the handbrake anyway that the p is the (P) for handbrake not the p for park am not that dense,

anyway when you put the handbrake on jake is saying that the red triangle should appear on the rev counter but when i put my hanbrake on the (p) on the fuel guage dial lights up like the same (p) on all cars that have a handbrake light

the brake fluid was checked as the guy said that that was sorting my car he thought it would be the fluid straight away when i mentioned it but it turned out to be spot on

sorry mate I wasn't taking the piss, I get both the red triangle in the centre, and a (:Pling:) over by the fuel guage when the handbrake is on.attachment.php?attachmentid=21787&d=1128190211

thought by P you must have been referring to the P on the auto selector. You'd be surprised how simple things can be missed. A mate of mine when he first got into an auto had to phone up to find out how to set off. He had taken it out of park and put it into Drive, but the car wasn't moving. He didn't realise that an auto had a handbrake too....

Sounds like you definitely have something amiss, hope you get it sorted soon.

Mike
