UltraFlynn
I've heard that using BitTorrent and http://www.piratebay.org/ works rather well.
Muffleman
If you want legal downloads then allofmp3, if not then I'd head for newsgroups.
chilli
I go for allofmp3.com (and mp3search.ru as a backup). allofmp3.com also have a client you can download to do all the searching and browsing locally for speed which is handy - exactly how legal it all is I'm not sure, but it's supposed to be (grey area in the law?) chilli
Just started using allofmp3 and it gets a big pretty good isn't it worth getting the client if you havn't already, takes a while to update initially but it's worth it in the long run
caliAl
Downloaded the client Sure beats waiting for the bit torrents to download
chilli
yeah it's much better than p1ssing around with torrents, ok you pay, but it's peanuts, worth it for the lack of hassle, + good library of music and you get them all at the same quality/bitrate - nothing worse than getting an mp3 album made of a bunch of mismatching quality songs! caliAl
over the years I've used Audio Galaxy, Kazza, MIRC and bit torrent and like you say I would rather pay £1 or so for an album I know is going to be good quality Well recommended
