Pace drivers for Motorways

Surely they'll get pulled over by the local constabulary for not observing the highway code, as in the 2nd and 3rd lanes should only be used for overtaking, and you should pull back in as soon as it's safe to do so.

Yeah, right. How many traffic coppers do you see these days? I do 70 miles a day on the motorway, and see _maybe_ 1 per week!

So what do these tossers, sorry pace drivers, do?

Go up the motorway to the next exit and then back again?

We've already got far too many prats on the roads these days as it is, FFS we don't need any more, with a misguided opinion that they are driving like a fcukwit for other peoples good.

It won't work!!!

You'll never get BMW drivers to drive that slowly in 'their' lane:rlol:

Thats mostly true

Except now we will have idiots in the middle lane doing 50mph and idiots in the far right hand lane doing 65mph.

Bmw drivers will have to start using the hard shoulder. :sos:

I can't see anything about "volunteers employed to keep a steady speed of 70mph or less in the third lane of the motorway". I'd guess that the intention was to explain to following traffic just why the car in front was sticking to the 30 limit.

EDIT:

Hey, I do that! Can I have a sticker?

Hey, how about we all ask for one of those stickers too? That'd cause them a few headaches when their Pace cars all do 80+ on the motorways... LOL
