Then he had weird fuelling problems, which were cleared when someone explained to him that the fuel tank 'equalisation' is done via this canister. Not dramatic, as fitting a little filter can remedy this, but I found it funny how easily people ditch/modify bits without having a fecken clue about how they fit in the overall picture. imi Posted February 4, 2006 Share Posted February 4, 2006 Was just watching a 1991 episode of Topgear where they were talking about charcoal canisters as devices that absorb Benzene thats let loose from the engine bay (due to breathing of the fuel tank) at the time of filling your car up at a petrol station. What I'm saying is THINK before you 'upgrade' because if you don't have a feckin clue of what a part does (and how it fits in the general balance of the design) you are likely to make things worse.
