Cheaper Car Insurance

Chatting to the mrs last night about my car insurance and she said that one her friends had recently renewed their policy with the same company without getting another quote.

Apparantly the husband thought he would get a quote online from their insurers and found it to be few hundred pounds cheaper than what they paid on renewal.

So, I thought I would try the same thing as I renewed my insurance in December with Direct Line who quoted me for renewal £893.00 inc legal protection and recovery.

Got a quote online using the identical details that are on my policy for - - wait for it - £475.00.

A saving of £370.00 quid. :ecstatic: How is this possible?

I have promptly phoned them and cancelled my existing policy and bought the quote I got online today. I will also transfer my fiesta insurance to them as well now that they do 2nd car policies. Got that for £112.00 TPFT.

You may want to check your insurance as I did not realise they would do this to existing customers.

most insurance companies will take you for a ride as much as possible. When I went to renew with Elephant they wanted an extra £300 as I had picked up 3 points, I went to Admiral and Bell Direct and they didnt care about the points. All the same company.

Never simply renew your insurance, always shop around and its also worth trying the supermarket insurances as they tend to come in quite good even though they are simply resellers for people like E-sure.
