supra-alex
I have been looking at these as i think its the car i'll get next ? does anyone here drive one ? what do others think of them ? There will come a time when practicallity and £ become priority so looking at the market this looks the best economical 3 ltr 200+ hp out there. Would you lot agree....... toyotasuprauk
I think they are nice looking cars, that are probably really well built and are lovely to drive but it all about personal taste really. BMW's arent everyones cup of tea.
michael
I'd be swayed towards the 330d
irfan_habib
If you're thinking of going for a manual, I'd recommend the 325Ci, the gearbox and clutch are awesome... much better than on the 330Ci, expecially when it comes to everyday driving. supra-alex
I'd be swayed towards the 330d if you do a lot of motorway miles or say 10,000 miles + a year to make a difference otherwise surely a ci with around 30-35mpg (correct if wrong) would be good enough !! you get good choice of interiors and nice ext colours too... basically its looks like the best aspirated 3 ltr to match a soop n/a
jamesmark
330d like what was mentioned is the better engine by far but going into bmw ownership you will enter into the common as muck catagory no individuality what so ever bmw a badge first but still a good motor
SkyJawa
Mate has a 330ci and loves it - its a cracking car. I looked at these too when I replaced my Skyline and would have got one if I hadn't got a motorbike. He had a 320d before and that was good too. He had the 320d as the only main diff between that and the 330d was the engine and it cost almost 10k more! LOL! He's now got the 330ci instead of the d because he now has a fuel card so the petrol cost don't matter!

I'm not thinking fuel, I'm thinking torque - I'm a Supra owner, MPG isn't something I discuss The older 330d puts out 184 bhp and 288 lb/ft

toyotasuprauk
Cant believe I'm saying this about a BMW but I really like this: http://www.compucars.co.uk/vehicle-details.asp?order=&Model=88&Make=&BodyType=&FuelType=&Transmission=&intMax=&intMin=&RSPage=1&ID=70593 Seems expensive though. mikeyb10supra
cant deny it, they are lovely cars.....as much as it pains me to say it I wonder why there is this rivalry between toyota/BMW drivers??

jamesmark
mostly company cars too, so people with power trips but in reality probably could not afford to buy one by themselves, pretty sad but still although like most pains me to say its a nice motor i drove my boss's 320 ci but was not impressed at all but the people that i know with a 330 love it to bits
Bobbeh
Nice cars, but if you want exclusivity a Mondeo is a better bet
Muffleman
Nice cars, but if you want exclusivity a Mondeo is a better bet Couldn't buy a coal burner myself, yes they're torquey but that's not enough. I went to a local non-franchise BMW specialist looking for a 320d or 330d for work, drove home with a 4.4 V8 with 286bhp and 310lbft torque I'll definitely look at the current M3 when it's time to be more sensible, just a shame 3 series BMW's are SO common as they are good cars otherwise.
