Pixelfill
Well I got myself a PSP today (sorry Nic, it was a spur of the moment decision, and came with interest free finance which thankfully I don't think you do yet ) However I've just checked and I have firmware 2.01 . now from what I can see I can't downgrade this to allow me to run "homebrew" or "backups". has anyone heard differently? Anyone got any suggestions of any software for converting DVDs to PSP - i'm buggered if I'm going to rebuy all my DVDs just to get them on UMD (at a higher cost), and any recommendations of good games would be appreciated. also if anyone is interested I've got a couple of unopened games (WRC, World Tour Soccer-challenge edition) for sale, these came bundled with the PSP. Thanks in advance Mike
Nic
V2.0 can be downgraded to v1.5 to allow you to play 'backup' games, v2.01 and above cannot. All the PSP's I supplied were either v1.5 or v2.0, these are still available if you want another Mike

Wez
I have just downgraded a mates PSP from v2.0 to v1.5, scary but it worked. Nic: can you give me a paypal price for 2xBlack v2.0 Value Packs and 2xUSB cables.
Scarface GTti
I bought a PSP software disc x2 off EBay for £5 and its the best investment ever. Its crammed full of software like DVD Shrink, DVD Decryptor, Firmware downgrades, etc, etc. It also has lots of photos and how tos and all sorts of stuff like that. It also has a program called PSP Video 9 which i believe is the best program for converting DVD to PSP. I just plug my PSP into my PC via a USB cable, press transfer and it puts the DVD onto the PSP once it has converted it. I know nothing about computers but i`ve managed to fill it with MP3, dirty photos and a film using this software. I think PSP Video 9 is available for free off the net? Parksy
The new firmware hacks won't be long coming now from the looks of things Played it safe though and aquired some nice 1.5 value packs from Nic... still odd games (like GTA you can't run on it though). NFS most wanted runs though!! All the game you will ever need (that and Ape Academy )
Wez
Have found that some games dont run, the unit resets half way through loading, found that upgrading from DevHook v0.20 to v0.22 seem to get them to load further but still not 100%. Are there any settings that need changing? Is DevHook the best loader to use?
Whitesupraboy2
devhook....ive never used that as i thought it was rubbish i have always used fast loader.
