Guest davet
Hi all, to get a bit more power but keep the car legal I'd like to do a half de-cat on my car. Which decat should i be removing? The 1st or the 2nd? Thanks Dave
Class One
The first one, as it's more restrictive and you can still pass Mot emissions tests with just no2 in.
Nic
Dave, is it an NA or TT? If it is a TT have you got a boost gauge fitted. as removing the first cat could cause the car to overboost?
Guest davet
Hi guys, I've a UK Spec Auto TT. I've got a blitz sbcid-iii boost controller and power meter already installed too I take it this helps wit the de-cat ?! Dave
Pig
Get em both out and find a friendly place. Fuel cut defencer needed btw. On a UK you dont really need to worry about over boosting, however better safe than sorry so i would get a boost gauge. You could consider 2 decat pipes so you can easily put the second in for your mot???
Chris Wilson
Remove both and just refit the secod one annually for the MOT test. Removing just one is like going out on the beer and having a half of shandy.
