Pig
I tried to get into my ebay accont yesterday and my password has been changed. I clicked the forgot password button and filled out as many of my details as i can remember (my phone number is now different), they said they would email me but never did. i treid again and still no luck. Wondering if there is anything i can do. 1 im worried someone may have hold of my account and dont want to loose my feedback!

Ebay are shit at resolving problems like this, my advice is get someone you know to search for any auctions that are being bid on or run by your user name, it may well have been hijacked. Also change your paypal account password while you are at it (for safety)

markssupra
Try this link. http://pages.ebay.co.uk/safetycentre/?ssPageName=f:f:UK to report suspicious account activity. Have you received any emails that appeared to be from Ebay? If you get an email from Ebay it should contain your user name to prove its legit. You may have entered your details to a false site. Pig
Nope, no contact at all. I have requested a password request email 3 times. so the suggestion of higak seem right!
markssupra
Make sure that when you sign in to Ebay that the page address starts with https://signin.ebay.co.uk, you should see this in the address bar in Internet Explorer. And that the padlock icon is visible in lower right of Internet Explorer window. If the address starts with http://signin, it is not secure and could possibly be a spoof ebay site. I've had quite a few emails recently that look exactly like ebay's web site asking me to update my account details, but the sign in button had a link to a address that was not Ebay.[/b]The page address I get when I sign in is : https://signin.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?SignIn&co_partnerId=2&pUserId=&siteid=3&pageType=&pa1=&i1=&bshowgif=&UsingSSL=&ru=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk&pp=&pa2=&errmsg=&runame=&ruparams=&ruproduct=&sid=&favoritenav=&migrateVisitor= Same applies to PayPal, make sure the address starts with https://www.paypal.com/ and padlock icon visible. I would also suggest changing paypal password. Hope you get it sorted without losing your feedback.
tbourner
It was on the news last night that Ebay may be shutting down or something unless they tighten security, as so many accounts have been hijacked and scam things being sold.
JonW
Your account has been hijacked same thing happened to me two days ago, you need to email all the info to [email protected] giving your user name and a contact telephone number.
