Well, took my soop back to audi today and they kindly said they would right their wrongs with the wheel allignment. However, they have managed to break my front sub-frame!!! While turning the cam washers they managed to sheer the stops off the sub frame.

So the question is, could this possibly be repaired with a weld or something or is it a new sub frame???

How much is a new front subframe??

so for snapping a bolt that holds some thing on you would want say a new wheel

for snapping a wheel bolt ??????

i would be more worried about them trying to get the rest of the bolt out to be honest before i demanded any thing out of any one mate there a big company and will try and fuck you over and get out of the job mate if you kick off stay cool and play it by the book mate just make sure they the job right mate cant see you needed a new sub frame mate

you can,t demand a new sub frame unless thats the only option all they have to do is repair it. you can have it inspected by somebody independent if you are not satisfied with what they have done and then take it further.

Oh yeah and i noticed that the teenage monkey doing the job has jacked the car up on the sill and made a good job of mashing that aswell.

I have stayed cool. Just gonna see what the manager suggests tomorrow.

Funny enough he is being as nice as pie...

Just get them to (properly) weld the adjuster tabs back on. It's an old car, I always warn people having geo work done that things can and do seize, and sometimes break when trying to free them. ABS sensors are on my list of potential trouble, as I find they are often seized in the hubs and break with the removal efforts. It often pays to use a specialist as they are more likely to KNOW what's likely to break and pre warn you :)

that usually means they are taking the blame, whatever they offer (unless its ideal) don't accept and push for that little bit more, but be calm and polite, it will be no different to bartering, he is a salesmen at the end of the day
