chilli Posted December 8, 2005 Share Posted December 8, 2005 I was thinking of making one, not just some heat shielding around a filter in the engine bay but a sealed box to contain a decent aftermarket filter and piping from the massive opening in my top secret front... I then stumbled across that comparative article which prompted me to switch to the Apexi. That was the first change I ever made to the car. But there is good news for any of you who want to swap from the HKS to the Apexi (or to stock filter). I managed to sell my used mushroom on Ebay for over £70!! Angarak Posted December 8, 2005 Author Share Posted December 8, 2005 Envy do a 'cold air box' for induction kits that mate to the original cold air intakes. I'm tempted to make one in carbon (bling) and get some heat resistant insulation tape on the external engine-facing sides to deal with the heat.
