Mid_lifecry_sis
chris thanks m8. like i said, i wont be going on the track so no need to upgrade as i expect to brake just the once in a 'situation' not constantly alike to a track; eg chris talks about the continued ability to stop..... i had an SP1 and regularly went to brands to play, braded and AP'd up all very good.... so again. no need to upgrade then! If the j-spec brakes cant reach the ABS cut-in then they aren't working as hard as the UK ones.

Steve Cargill
Gordon, I'd agree with that but you need to take into account when the upgrade is done you are getting new disks, pads, calipers, fluid and often braided hoses. That will account for some of the difference. That said, the difference when I did mine was stunning.

Of course, to be honest I had no idea they were hosted on any sites, they are just copies of various things "wot I wrote", didn't know they were there myself, although it's not a problem

The discs were fine, the pads were hardly worn when I got the car, I put some wear on them though. The change to UK's all round was remarkable, even before the brakes had bedded in. Now I can out brake most things on the road. I like that, it gives confidence. I don’t particularly like sliding callipers no matter what car it is on. I prefer my brakes to have pistons on both sides of the disk, just a personal thing. The JDMs brakes never matched the performance of the car JIMHO
Syed Shah
Same here. UK brakes make a BIG difference. An absolute must on a TT especially. If you can afford to mod it, then do this first. It will improve the car much more than power mods.
