What have i done

Anyone help me

I was taking my radio out at the weekend to replace it with my kenwood unit, but when ive put it all back toagther the airbag light is staying on the dash, any ideas what ive done??

Oho, so it's if you disconnect it while the ignition is on? I thought it was if you put the ignition on with it disconnected, but I can safely say that everything works fine still if you do that :)

PS my diagnostic connector isn't anywhere near that shown in the picture...?

No, its the other way round, it will go on if you put the ign on when its disconnected... You car must be backward Ian ;)

I had the dash off while putting the EGT gauge in and I started the car with the top and left hand side dash panels off, everything disconnected. Car started and ran fine, now it's back together I have no flashing airbag light... I've done this several times now, and never have had this problem. COuld it be a facelift thang?

Have you read the article properly ? Particularly this bit .........

 

With the ignition key turned to the ON position alternate the two wires to the negative terminal of the battery. They need to be done in a consistent rhythm, about one second apart. TC,AB,TC,AB,TC,AB... This needs to be done several times. If you can't get it to work, try adjusting the speed.
