Seems like the whole american MSN network is dead, http://www.msn.co.uk is ok tho. unless its a problem with my pipex network. I have just used my dialup account on freeserve, and that doesnt have any problems using msn messenger, or http://www.msn.com, i've just tried http://www.ebay.com on pipex, and i cant access it.. but i can access http://www.ebay.co.uk Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

osso Posted November 28, 2005 Author Share Posted November 28, 2005 Its you Nooooo I think its people on Pipex ok explain this, on pipex's broadband network, my email accout works, i can access this site, and a few others in the UK.. however i cant access http://www.msn.com http://www.ebay.com or msn messenger. chilli Posted November 28, 2005 Share Posted November 28, 2005 it's working ok here today, but it wasn't yesterday, I'm wondering if some DNS entries got messed up somewhere perhaps because at one stage it wasn't working on one machine that had been running a while and yet worked ok on a machine that just started up - strange! osso Posted November 28, 2005 Author Share Posted November 28, 2005 if anyone is still having problems, change your MTU down to 1430, then your pipex connection will work. seems to be a problem with the routers at the moment. normally you can do this from windows, but i had to change MTU setting directly from my router before i could get it to work.
