garethr
Did you see the following documentary about the land speed record attempts at Bonneville in the 60s? They reckoned that when Art Arfons crashed the "Green Monster" at 600+ (and survived), they found a piece of it over 4 miles away. There was an excellent shot of Craig Breedlove's "Spirit of America" nose down in a pond, looking like something ot of an old sci fi film Lots of shots of cool old hot rods as well. . lust2luv
Did you see the following documentary about the land speed record attempts at Bonneville in the 60s? Excellent programme. Thought they could have put it into context at the end though. The whole programme's theme was how Britain technically used to dominate the world, but after WWII the Americans took over and a new era began. Neglecting to mention that Richard Noble won the record back and we've had it for the past 18 years.
SupraStar 3000
Very interesting about 'British racing green'. Didn't mention the AstonMartin DBR9 or the F1 Jaguars though. also,.. why couldn't I find a 15 year old girl that was into RC cars when I was a young'un. Its just not fair
