Does anyone know anything about these cars? I've been offered one as part of a px deal for my car. Sounds like a decent enough motor but with 120k miles on it on a 91 plate I'm worried I'd just not be able to shift it on. It has sportline spec, black leather, full history, amg alloys, cars silver not that yakky white, private plate sort of hides the age, its been a bit lowered and recently serviced to include new exhaust, leads, wheel bearings, brakes, and a quote spotless engine. Its a classicish motor in an area full of old people that like that kind of thing I must admit I am tempted.

I reckon its worth in and around 5.5-6k depending on condition.

You might end up getting stuck with it at that money. It probably trades at about £2k so thats what you should be offering him. All over the trader from £3k upwards heres one:

1990MERCEDES-BENZ 300CE 2dr Coupe,

leather, full electrics, FSH, Auto cruise, excellent cond, lovely drive, 12mnths MOT, taxed, new car forces sale, black. £3,995. ono.

Tel: 01925 860990 or 07860 959506

Distance: 222 miles

Price: £3,995ono.

It would be madness to take that in at £5k IMHO.

my mate use to own one, it did have 140k miles on it, but it was mint. he brought it 5 years ago for £10,000, sold it late last year for £1700.

it was 1991 300ce24v in dark met grey. if you look at a national search on the net they are not fetching huge money.

So be careful if you plan to p/ex to sell and to get some money back.

OK that has me convinced to not bother then lol. I have been offered a stock GZ TT supe on a px which I think I'd be more comfortable with its just taking its time for the money to come through. Only problem with that car is I might be able to justify keeping it and not actually recoup any of the money lol.
