Chris Wilson Posted October 31, 2005 Share Posted October 31, 2005 I need to find out what size RSJ I would need to span 25 feet, supported only at each end on brick piers, to safely lift 650 kilos at it's unsupported mid section. RobSheffield Posted October 31, 2005 Share Posted October 31, 2005 Chris my parental type person concurred with Mr Richards - approx 8" or 200mm he also offered the following sage words of advice! 'if you plan it for 650KG there will always be something you need to do thats more, so its best to get the biggest you can afford' HTH (his garage sounds similar - 4 car garage, 2 large RSJs, often found pulling large V8s out of cars, and currently holding a Chassis up between two RSJs) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
