How do you make a DVD-ROM drive region free?

I ahve a Sony DDU1615 DVD-ROM and I understand that I can only change the region setting four times before it locks.

How do I set it to accept disks from any region without having to change the settings?

Asking because I want to get some Lost screen captures and bits of footage from the R1 box-set.

Thank you.

Cheers for those links. I tried a bunch of program but none work. My problem seems to be with the firmware for my drive. Cannot find a firmware update on the net and according to a few forums there isn't one for this particular drive!

Any other suggestions?

it's on a site linked from that second page Pete gave:

SONY DVD-ROM DDU1615 - No Firmware Updates Available

(Known Firmwares: FYS1/FYS2)

Use LtnRPC to reset or disable the Region Counter. Click Disable and your drive will be region free!
