Sub_Culture
Hello all, Ive been after a turbo'd Supe for longer than I care to remember! Going to try to sell my car over the next month or so to afford one, but before I start advertising it (and spending God knows how much money with Auto Trader etc), thought I would see if anyone is interested in a swap / p/ex with my S Reg'd Lotus Elise. Certainly a different beastie from a Supra. Obviously nowhere near as quick on the straights, but its certainly a guru of all things corner-shaped! The car is in a maroon colour (quite rare and understated) with 67,000 miles, full Lotus Service History, front splitter, headlight covers, hardtop (worth £££s!), soft top, DVD player, 8" sub (bless!), stainless cat-back exhaust, upgraded air induction kit, enlarged throttle body, cream leather and a private plate. IF anyone is interested, please post on here, PM me or call me on 07725 723945. Thanks for your time! Andy
Pete
They're fun cars for sure. I will probably buy a facelift one one day in the future....with a Honda engine.

michael
Cracking little cars - was it this that you ended up swapping the RX7 for?
Sub_Culture
Yes, mate. The guy part ex'd this with some cash for the RX7. Its a great car. I took it on the pretence that it will be easier to sell than a modified RX7, and its one of those cars you gotta own at some stage. Although I still crave a big-powered Supe, so she has to go. Hows you, mcanny? Car running alright? Andy
michael
Definately a good plan with the swap there, as nice as that RX7 is it's a very specialist car so the Lotus should be a lot easier to move on - I'd love one myself but I'm not suitably sized for them really I'm fine cheers, car is spot on at the moment - haven't been in it for 2 weeks but decided to take it to work today, started first time and felt lovely, sadly the crappy weather meant no fun was to be had but it's still a joy to own. I just wish I had that £50k pot of cash to spend trying other cars out while keeping the Supra Good luck with the sale!
Sub_Culture
Yeah, mate, you and me both! £50k should do the job, lol. It would certainly build a nice Supra! Thanks for the support. Andy

Pete
There's a few people doing it. Also from - http://www.maidstonesportscars.co.uk/services/lotusHPE.asp The I-VTEC transforms the performance of the Elise into a true Super car. When the I-VTEC engages the whole engine characteristics change and it Under the bonnet takes on a whole new lease of life until it Red Lines at 8,500 RPM. 0-60 MPH times are reduced to around the 4-second mark and the 0-100 MPH is under 12 seconds. Truly Super car performance. With further options available to upgrade to JDM Spec.engines, Sports exhaust systems and induction systems along with Supercharges, 200BHP is only the start. However most will find the standard conversion impressive enough.
