turnerjr Posted January 9, 2023 Share Posted January 9, 2023 Hi all, I need to replace the bonnet insulator on my uk spec bonnet as mine is looking tired but they have been discontinued by toyota. I can get a Jap spec one but would obviously need to cut the middle out for the bonnet scoop. turnerjr Posted February 13, 2023 Author Share Posted February 13, 2023 Just to confirm, a JDM bonnet insulator will fit a uk spec. All the holes line up, there isn’t a mark for cutting the scoop hole, I had to use my old insulator as a template, it cuts ok with a new stanley blade. I was shocked at how thin the new one was against my old one. I guess they get moisture in them and start to seperate? The yellow line is the offcut of the new one.
