W58 and R154 Differences

Some photos of the differences between the W58 and R154 transmissions and their associated hardware. NOTE: some things not pictured. Here is the listing of all the support parts that are different from the R154 to the W58:

 

> Trans

> Clutch setup

--- flywheel

--- pressure plate

--- throw out bearing

--- release fork

--- slave cylinder

--- slave cylinder soft line

--- NOTE: W58/R154 clutch discs are the SAME!

 

> Trans crossmember

> Driver's side trans->engine support bracket

> Lower inspection cover

> Driveshaft (R154 shaft is shorter w/diff input spline setup)
