Mounting Knock sensor

Hi all.

 

I am installing a Bosch wideband sensor on my BPU TT6 for furture use.

 

Having an issue with finding a spot on the block to mount it.

 

With the motor in the car and all the stuff on the intake side, can't seem to find a spot.

 

Any advice on where to mount and how to mount it?

 

Was thinking of removing the fuel pulsation damper and mounting it on that point.

Is the noise of the fuel with the damper removed audible from inside the car?

That's where I mounted mine, Just below the head on cylinder number 4

 

and no I dont hear anything different with the fuel pulsation damper removed. I just listen to the turbo whim

I usually mount my bosch knock sensor for my knock audio on #2 intake side. It's next to the cylinder 5 and just below to deck, great location if you ask me.

Issue is with the motor in the car, there is no space at all..

 

But will fit the pulsation damper delete to clear up some space and mount it as high up as I can get to..

Just to complete this for anyone searching.

 

I removed the fuel pulsation damper, freed up holes 7 and 12 on the intake side. Fitted the whiftbitz bypass.

 

 

Swapped the bracket for the water line to the oil cooler from 2 to 7. added another L bracket make it work.

 

Then mounted sensor to 2.
