conorj
Hi Guys, Could anyone confirm for me if the first cat from a VVTI Aristo engine is the same as one on a JDM VVTI supra engine? I bought my car in august with both decats fitted but MOT is a bit stricter over here in NI so might have to revert back at some point. Cheers, Conor
Nic
No the 2JZ-GTE Aristo fitment is different. The fitment is the same on all 2JZ-GTE Supra models.
j_jza80
The fitment is the same on all 2JZ-GTE Supra models. Why do vvti's have a different first decat pipe then?
Nic
Why do vvti's have a different first decat pipe then? I always thought the fitment was the same as the turbos and exhaust are interchangeable, but you're correct there are different decat pipes *confused*
j_jza80
Could it be a sensor boss?
conorj
Thanks guys, I'll keep an eye out for a direct replacement off a supra then what about the intake manifold, would it match? I'm seeing different part numbers in the catalogue
Nic
Could it be a sensor boss? The O2 sensors are different but the 2 bolt flange is the same, according to the EPC the turbo outlet flange is the same on all J-spec years, so I'm a bit stumped why there'd be a difference.
