antno Posted July 31, 2015 Share Posted July 31, 2015 My car is a 1996 tt6 jspec and sometimes when I start it if runs for 2 seconds then cuts out. If I then try and start it again it cranks for 5 seconds then coughs and splutters and it then runs fine. Or if I leave it 5 seconds before I start up (ignition on) it starts fine. Primes then bleeds off the pressure as it runs till it curs out Have this alot on 3sgtes where people fit the cheap ebay fuel pumps. I replace the pump and its fine. antno Posted August 1, 2015 Author Share Posted August 1, 2015 It had the issue 4 years ago when I bought the car and I changed it to a walbro one that's the usual upgrade for bpu.
