Site Problems - "New Posts"

Recommended Posts

I haven't had this problem for a while but it seems to have returned over the past few days.

Normally I'd read the board at home at night then when I come to work in the morning I check for new posts. The main forum page suggests there are updated threads yet clicking "New Posts" reveals none (despite me being able to see new ones):

See attached pics for an idea of what I'm getting.

Does anyone else have this problem? I stay logged in on a few PCs and as I mentioned above it normally works, it just seems to go through phases where new threads don't work in the morning.

Browser version? Maybe security settings? Cookies?

Don't have a problem with Firefox on any of the three regular terminals I use.

My settings and browser versions remain constant (Firefox, Opera and IE depending on where I am) and fairly unrestrictive yet the issue comes and goes at random.

OK it's not a massive problem but a minor frustration when I want to have a read with my coffee :)

My most common shift would be from Firefox at home to IE 6 at work, it's only this transition that ever shows the problem, swapping machines at home is no problem.

I was just curious to see if anyone else 'suffered' with it really.

it does seem you can confuse the BBS, I find if I click on the forums link top left and before it finishes building the page I click in to a forum and then choose the back button (cos I clicked wrongly) it marks the posts as read. Dont know why but it seems to do that to me.
