bignum
right, shockers are knackered so decided to go for the yellow bilsteins all round, now its a uk car and wanted to stay stock height but wondered whether theres any difference in my stock springs compared to the j specs that were fitted to the bilsteins as a factory upgrade cheers bignum. Nic
The J-spec springs are a firmer ride compared to the UK springs so I believe, not sure if there is a difference on the ride height or not. have you already bought the Bilstein shocks? Guest GadTek
Why not just run Tein SS coilovers?

Guest GadTek
Really, I have never heard anything but good things about the Tien units. I am still having trouble deciding which ones to purchase.

Chris Wilson
Unless they have altered them quite drastically i'd give them a wide berth. For dampers think Scandinavian only.... Koni, Bilstein, Proflex, Swedish (ONLY) made Ohlins, and a few others that are stratospherically expensive and more for the high end race car market. Tiens ain't bad but better if they are rebuildable. I've got Cusco's and on UK roads they are a little harsh. Great handling but will need rebuildable teeth rather than coilovers
