Auto box oil strainer. Change

Is it a hard job to changer the oil strainer and oil in my tt auto box?

Shore I read it's a pain to fully drain it. And I've 4 litres of oil but how many do I need?

Depends how handy you are with spanners, its a very simple job, drain the sump, ring of 10mm bolts, 3x 10mm bolts hold the filter in. I think its only 2 litres to fill the sump again, its about 8 to flush the box out fully.

Cool I'll be doing it at work so will be on a 4 poster so easy done. Looks like I'll only be part flushing it then or best I can as I've only 4 litres.

Don't forget to top the box up, then run the car and finalise the level.

Easy to do just very messy, drain the oil and remove about 20 10mm bolts, sometimes the dipstick tube can be seized so you might have to undo 1 bolt holding it onto the intake manifold, then as said theres 3 bolts holding in the strainer. When you have have it all back together refill it through the dipstick tube, have it running in P when checking the levels

Remember to have new sump pan sealant 2-3 mm bead all the way around and dont let it go into the pan... so best to let it dry before topping up.
