Gretie22 Posted May 15, 2014 Share Posted May 15, 2014 Right, starter has been on its way out for quite a while now, got the solenoid kit to fix it, so going to get my partner and dad under the car next time it's a nice weekend In advance to save stress on the day, what tools will we need? Scott Posted May 15, 2014 Share Posted May 15, 2014 It's an absolute bitch to get the starter out, I had an absolute nightmare with it. 1 nut that holds the +ive cable on, 1 clip and 2 bolts to remove. You need about 3ft of socket extensions to get the bolts off, not so bad, but then you need triple jointed hands to get the thing out.
