mobius Posted April 10, 2014 Share Posted April 10, 2014 Hi my car has just been in for a matrix change (demisterman) one, Got car back drove 5 miles then on idle temp gauge goes from normal to just below red as soon as I drive away temp starts to fall to normal. First time it did it noticed a leak on the carpet from new matrix and symptoms as described lost about 1ltr of coolant. Drove back to garage and they have had for another few days could not find leak from matrix and could not get car to overheat. Initial thoughts possibly an air lock. Picked car up today on drive home same happened but no leak from matrix. Had hc test done on coolant system so head gasket appears to be ok.
