msupra1
I'm interested in purchasing a set of recaro seats with rails, I'm not sure what car they were for but EVO or something like that. I'd like to purchase this set. I was wondering has anyone else had their OEM brackets modified in some sort of way to fit some non-OEM seats/rails ? If there is just a little bit of modified needed is a pretty straight forward? Guy selling the seats knows a place that can get it done for not too much. Noz
This involves getting a piece of sheet aluminium, mounting the seat rails to those, then cut up an old set, and screw the feet to the four corners of the two sheets of alloy fixed under your car. Not a perfect setup, but does the job. This is how Shane's seats arrive and it does the job Just remember your need a seat belt point. As the OEM one is in the seat! msupra1
I'm just trying to imagine how that would look and I cant', anyone possibly have any photo's of this work that's been done. So where the brackets originally are bolted to the car, those parts get cut off and new section's welded?
