Guest Vikashan
Hi guys, I've recently fitted a 2nd hand set of Tein Control Master Flex coilovers on my TT. I've removed the damper motors and fitted them as I had no time to wire up the EDFC. So I fitted the manual adjusters on and set them to soft On the first drive I noticed a slight knocking sound from the passenger rear left shock - only when that wheel where that shock if fitted hits a bump. On speed humps - no knock at all. So we decided to swap the rear shocks around to rule out suspension knock or exhaust knocks. The sound has travelled to the right hand side now. If I set the damper setting to hard - the sound becomes more pronounced. So it seems to be the shock. Any one fitted these shock experienced this or anything familiar ? See pics of the shocks below. Dnk
Sounds like the damper/shock is on its way out
jimojameso
Yeah shock has gone. You can send them back to Tein and get them refurbished. Sorry buddy. I had the tein mono flex on my supra and they were awesome!!
Dnk
Is it cost effective having them refurbished ?
marc_p
Is it cost effective having them refurbished ? By a UK business, yes, probably not if you are sending it to TEIN. As it's a discontinued shocker now, it would be difficult to replace just the one.
