I've got a pair of spare doors and I've just had to move them from one storage place to another (smaller unfortunately) and they would take up far less room if the glass was down. You should be able to identify the two wires that feed the motor, 1 in each direction. Find the earth, stick it on one pin, if it clicks but doesn't move, it'll be the other one.
