Pete
Have you tried ripping it to the HDD first? That'll at least rule out read errors.

Jake
When you say converting to AVI/MPG, which is it? Or have you tried both? Have you tried using a different CoDec? Have you installed any new CoDecs recently? Too many CoDecs are A Bad Thing and cause system instability and slowness. Some are worse than others. Generally speaking, don't have any CoDecs installed that you don't actually need.

MaveriK
Does it play all the way through on a dvd/pc? Have you tried cleaning the DVD?? If you care to rip me a copy i can play with it for you if you wish??? Hate things that should work that dont and dont even get me started on codecs. People just try and makes things as complicated as possible for others by using "Miami Monkey Backhand AC3 HoOtEr" audio codec and the like, i swear its to make them look clever. And to quote fella-me-lad off "Am i a knob" thread it grips my shit!!
