I have an issue with my leon, usually occurs when cruising around 80 and when accelerating harsh between 85-90 the car goes into a limp mode like the turbo doesn't work. No engine lights come on...The turbo does not smoke, there isnt any clouds of smoke... all in all the car seems ok.

To fix the problem i simply turn the engine off and start back up. Its not really a big issue as its rare I go over the speed limit, i usually drive economical but would be nice to fix it.

The turbo whistles alot (sounds quiet good actually) but i heard this can occur with some cars.

Any ideas?

I had exactly the same issue with a golf tdi years ago. I never did get to the bottom of it. It's gotta be boost cut of some sort as mine only ever did it under high loads ie accelerating at WOT at certain speeds and when towing a load up a hill etc.

Sounds the same issue as mine

Car has not been modified, 1 owner and dealer history.

I might be referring to like the standard waste gate or BOV, its when i change gear or lift off there is like a woosh sound similar to the ones you get in these high performance cars, TBH it sounds good.

Also i was referring to KPM :innocent:
